Announcements:

Youth and Family’s Annual Corn Maze Event is set for Sunday, October 27th, from 1:30 to 5:30 —a perfect opportunity for some community family fun! Invitations with details are on their way, so be sure to check your email. We’re looking forward to seeing you there for an unforgettable day of exploration and joy!”

Curriculum Overview:

Youth will experience the joy of learning how giving can create abundance, not scarcity. Through engaging activities like the “Getting and Giving” game, they’ll discover that sharing with trust, faith, and gratitude allows more to flow back to them. They will walk away, understanding that money is simply a tool for trading and that true abundance comes from generosity. By the end of the lesson, they’ll feel empowered to give, knowing that it fosters a cycle of receiving more than enough for everyone.

October Monthly Theme: A-Bun-Dance
Week 3 Value: Loaves and Fishes
Affirmation: I give with an open heart, knowing that as I trust in the flow of abundance, I receive more than enough for myself and others.

Spiritual Lesson:

This lesson teaches youth that giving with trust, faith, and gratitude creates a flow of abundance. It demonstrates that sharing doesn’t lead to less but to more. Through fun activities, they will understand that generosity is a key to experiencing true prosperity and connection with others.

Spiritual Practice: Send and Receive

Youth learn the power of their intuition and share their energy connection with others through spiritual practice. The person visualizing “sends” the image mentally to their partner, who then begins drawing what they “know” is being sent. After a few minutes, they compare the images. Switch roles and repeat. We discuss how this activity demonstrates the abundance of energy and connection that exists between us, even when we don’t see it directly.

Active Listening: Book/Music/Video

Book: “Those Shoes” by Maribeth Boelts

Music: Count On Me by Bruno Mars

Music: “I Am So Blessed” by Karen Drucker

Creative Expression: Getting and Giving Game

Youth play a game where they learn that giving doesn’t mean having less — it can lead to even more abundance. They explore how a feeling of getting more can happen the more you give.

Connecting: Gratitude Stones

Youth will paint small, smooth stones with words or symbols representing abundance, giving, or gratitude. After painting, they can choose a word like “Trust,” “Faith,” “Give,” or “Gratitude” to write on their stone, decorating it with vibrant colors and patterns. These stones can serve as personal reminders of the power of giving and receiving that can be left for others to find.
