Music Team

The music at the Center for Spiritual Living – Olympia is as diverse as our members. We lift our spirits and voices with contemporary, engaging music that helps the presence of spirit come alive during services. Music Director, Brent Pendleton and Vocal Leader, Amy Shephard support our weekly Sunday Celebration messages with music that touches the heart and makes you want to tap your feet.

A native of Texas, the focus of Brent Pendleton’s life and career has been on music. He was writing songs on his grandfather’s piano at the age of four. In the late 1970’s he played in a band that included his father and sister.

He subsequently toured the country with bands playing fairs and opening for such acts as the Beach Boys, Shelly West, and Louise Mandrel. Brent was also active in the recording circuit, producing over 150 sessions in Dallas recording studios. In 1994 he was the bandleader for 12-year-old LeAnn Rimes, and returned to work for her in 1998, performing in all her concerts and television appearances. He later worked as a writer and producer.

Brent worked for TVW for several sessions before going to work in the Lieutenant Governor’s office in June 2009.
