Youth Curriculum, 9-29-24

Curriculum Overview:

5th Sunday Youth/Adult Service Youth have been gathering Pieces of Peace and will share a demonstration of what that looks like to them with their community as they help Rev David expand on the idea of what Peace looks like put together. They will ask their community to help add to their demonstration of what Peace looks like and sing a song of Peace with the music team. The youth project will be displayed in a common area, serving as lasting symbol of the congregation’s collective journey toward peace and oneness.

September Monthly Theme: Pieces into Peace
Week 5 Value: Putting the Peaces Together  
Affirmation: I AM the Peace I see in the world!

Spiritual Lesson:

Spiritual Practice: Guided Peace Imagining  

Youth learn to create and spread peace through a breathing exercise and learn the chant, Om Shanti to bring about inner peace and to send peace to others at our center’s new outdoor Peace pole installation.

Active Listening: Book/Music/Video

Music: “Let There Be Peace on Earth”

Creative Expression: “Peace Project”

Youth share their month-long Peace project during our 5th Sunday Youth/Adult Service that will be displayed in a common area, serving as lasting symbol of the congregation’s collective journey toward peace and oneness.
