Bring the beauty and aroma of the Pacific Northwest to your home or as a holiday gift for loved ones anywhere in the country. Whenever you shop online through our youth group’s fundraising page, we receive 15% back from your qualifying purchase and 100% of any donation. You can support our efforts by going to CSLOlympia.org, where you will find a link to our fundraising campaign, or pick up a flyer in the lobby with easy shopping directions. With your support, we will meet our goal in no time! Thank you for supporting our youth and teens!
Curriculum Overview
Youth discuss how they find solutions when working in groups or teams at school or during activities. They share times when they felt they had a better solution to a problem that was not one of the options to choose from and come up with ways they can express their ideas.

October Monthly Theme: Playing with Paradox
Week 4 Value: The Tyranny of the “OR”
Affirmation: I use curiosity and perspective to expand my possibilities.
Spiritual Lesson: Both – And
Youth discuss how they find solutions when working in groups or teams at school or during activities. They share times when they felt they had a better solution to a problem that was not one of the options to choose from and come up with ways they can express their ideas.
Active Listening: Book/Music/Video
Video: Dr Quantum Double Slit Experiment
Book: Acceptance is My Superpower, by Alicia Ortego
Movement: Yoga Warrior Poses
Music: Perspective (live) – CCV Music (lyrics)
Creative Expression – Think, Feel, Act game
Youth use the Think, Feel, Act card activity to learn how to improve their relationships when understanding that they have a variety of ways to think and feel about a situation. They will know that they can get what they need more quickly when they feel they have options and can see different perspectives before choosing an action.
Connecting/Spiritual Practice: Try It Out!
Youth play a teamwork game where they define guidelines, try it out, and then come up with a different solution that includes all perspectives and play it out.
