May Theme: Foundations of Spirit: Discovering the Divine Within
Week 2 Value: The Law
Affirmation: What I think and feel creates my experience.
Curriculum Overview:
In Week 2, youth and teens build on their understanding of Oneness by exploring The Law—the principle that our thoughts, beliefs, and feelings help shape our experiences.
Youth begin to notice how their inner world influences what shows up in their outer world. They will explore how patterns of thinking—both positive and negative—can impact their mood, relationships, and outcomes.
This week empowers youth to recognize that they are not passive observers of life. Instead, they are active participants who can shift their experiences by becoming more aware of what they think and feel.
Spiritual Lesson:
What we consistently think and feel helps create what we experience.
Youth explore the idea that Universal Law is always responding—not to what we want, but to what we believe and focus on. Just like planting seeds in soil, our thoughts take root and grow into experiences over time.
They begin to understand that awareness is key. When they notice their thinking, they gain the ability to choose thoughts that support kindness, confidence, and possibility.
This lesson emphasizes personal responsibility in an empowering way: by shifting their inner dialogue, youth can begin to shift their lives.
Spiritual Practice: Thought Seeds & Mindset Shift Experience
Youth participate in a hands-on activity where they are given different “thought seeds” (written on paper). They sort these into categories and explore how each type of thought might grow into different experiences.
They then practice a “mindset shift,” transforming limiting thoughts into supportive ones. This practice helps youth understand The Law in a tangible and empowering way.

Creative Expression: Mother’s Day Project — “Planting Thoughts of Love”
In honor of Mother’s Day, youth will create a flowerpot gift that represents how thoughts, like seeds, grow into meaningful experiences. Youth will connect the idea that just like seeds planted in soil grow into flowers, the thoughts we plant grow into experiences. Loving thoughts nurture loving relationships.
Additional flowerpots will be created and made available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the Teen Camp Fund. This allows youth to extend their creativity into service, giving back while reinforcing the principle that what we give and create has impact.
Connecting: Oneness Circle
Youth complete the sentence: “One thought I want to grow is…”
Group Response: “And I choose it now.”
