Exciting News from CSL Teen Camp!

Our Teen Camp representative, Ocean Laura, recently returned from the CSL Winter Teen Camp at Camp Cedar Ridge in Vernonia, Oregon. As an advisor, he helped facilitate teens as they built lasting connections, deepened their spiritual understanding, and engaged in enriching experiences. Centers for Spiritual Living Teens is a dynamic group of youth ages 13 to 18 committed to fostering a thriving global community and leading the way as the future of the CSL movement. If you’re interested in finding out how this experience can benefit your teen personally at CSL’s Summer Teen Camp, visit our website’s Youth Family Teen Program section to submit your contact information for a family consult. Don’t miss this opportunity to be part of an inspiring and transformative experience that will last a lifetime.

Curriculum Overview:

Youth will dive into the concept of possibility through interactive storytelling, creative visualization, and movement-based activities designed to inspire curiosity and self-confidence. They will discover how affirmations and intentional thought can help them overcome challenges. At the same time, hands-on projects, like drawing their dreams or exploring imaginative yoga, will make the lesson tangible and fun.

January Monthly Theme: Stretching into Possibility
Week Value: It Flows
Affirmation: “I am brave, I am capable, and I choose to see endless possibilities in every moment.”

Spiritual Lesson:

The lesson teaches that the law of life responds to our thoughts and beliefs, and by consciously choosing possibility, we align ourselves with infinite potential. Through faith, practice, and playful exploration, youth will learn to trust in their ability to co-create a life filled with expansive possibilities.

Mindfulness: Breathing into Possibility

Youth will practice a guided mindfulness exercise, focusing on their breath while silently repeating the affirmation, “I stretch beyond limits and embrace expansive potential.” This activity helps them connect with the present moment, calm their minds, and anchor the belief that possibility begins within.

Active Listening: Book/Music/Video

  • Book: Excerpt from The Science of Mind: “The law flows through us and responds to what we think. When we believe in possibility, we open the door to it.”
  • Music: “A Million Dreams” from The Greatest Showman
  • Book:  Oh, The Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss (younger class)
  • Music: “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Armstrong (younger class)

Creative Expression: Possibility Tree

Youth will create a “Possibility Tree,” drawing roots to represent their strengths, a trunk for their challenges, and branches and leaves for their dreams. This exercise helps them visualize how their strengths and efforts can grow into new opportunities, reinforcing the idea that possibility is nurtured through focus and belief.

Connecting: Possibility Stretch

Youth will participate in a stretching game where they see how far they can reach, gradually expanding their limits with each round. This activity symbolizes the power of believing in their ability to grow and achieve more, showing them how mindset can impact their results.
