Announcements:

Our INSPIRE Life-Skills Workshop for Teens begins Sunday, February 25th, from 5-7 pm. Late registration will be accepted. See flyers in the lobby for the registration QR code, or visit our website at cslolympia.org and find the teen life-skills workshops tab under Youth & Family.

If you would love to be a guest presenter and share a skill like budgeting, cooking, and interviewing skills at one of our future INSPIRE Life-Skills Workshop for Teens, please connect with our youth director, Adrienne.

We are looking for two more assistants for the youth classes for the first two Sundays in March. For both Sundays, all curriculum and activity samples and materials will be available in the classrooms. Thank you, Jeremy, Jody, and Craig, for offering your assistance.

Creative Expression: Responding to Discomfort

Youth discusses how the main character handles discomfort and turns it into an opportunity. They reflect on times when they allowed an uncomfortable moment to become a tool for growth. When given challenging situations, youth practice responding with words, actions, and affirmations to help overcome the discomfort in favor of a path to learning.

Connecting/Spiritual Practice: Obstacle Course challenge   Youth participate in an obstacle course challenge where teamwork, perseverance, and problem-solving are emphasized. They are encouraged to continue their “Comfort Zone Challenge” throughout the week, where they do one thing outside of their comfort zone and journal about what they learned and experienced
