Curriculum Overview

Youth discover that power, possibility, and transformation of self and community occur when we are willing to be vulnerable enough to express our wholeness. We have everything we need now to make a difference to others in our communities.

Youth discover power, possibility, and transformation of self and community occurs when we are willing to be vulnerable enough to express our wholeness.

Active Listening: Book/Music/Video

Story: TEDx: The power of bravery – Joseph Wang

Music: Music video: Touch the Sky – sing-along lyrics

Creative Expression –  Courageous Storytelling

We will create a story based on a real event where we share something that we learned with others. We will include what qualities we strengthened to be able to perform and what we learned about ourselves and others.

Connecting/Spiritual Practice: Playing with Common Ground

With an expanded view of ourselves and others, youth play a teamwork game where they have an opportunity to define teamwork guidelines before the game and reflect on success with and without finding common ground.
