Families attending our Wildkind Academy outdoor day camp on April 23rd after service, ensure you turn in your waiver form to Adrienne in the youth class. All details on where to meet up at Millersylvania State Park will be emailed to you. We still have scholarships available. Please see Adrienne.

Curriculum Overview

Youths learn how vulnerability can be courageous. Knowing all aspects of ourselves and allowing ourselves to embrace our truth, we play a game of making self-connections and begin to open to more experiences.

Week 3 Value: Letting Go and Letting In 

Affirmation: I face every challenge with grace, and my courage rises up with ease.

Spiritual Lesson: Letting Go and Letting In 

Youths learn how vulnerability can be courageous. Knowing all aspects of ourselves and allowing ourselves to embrace our truth, we make a self-connection and become open to more experiences.

Active Listening: Book/Music/Video

Meditation: A Guided Meditation on Change by Mr. Diddlydoo (5:20) – younger youth

Music: Pocket Full of Sunshine – older youth sing along to this lyric video

Book: The Magical Yet – inspiration to keep growing – younger youth

Creative Expression –  Bless-itations  

Using the power of vulnerability, we can learn how making difficult decisions can lead us on the right path when expressing our truth, changing our perspective, and letting go. Using one side of a post-it, we name a concern or hesitation. On the other side, we create an affirmation or a shift statement.  

Connecting/Spiritual Practice: Playing at Letting Go

Youth play a Stop-Walk game where we change the meaning of words and add directions requiring adaptability, focus, and letting go.
