Sunday Talk: What We Believe About Wholeness, 7-19-26

For July, we’re remembering our wholeness. Each of us is already perfect wholeness. Who you are in this very moment is exactly who you are meant to be. Wholeness isnโ€™t something we must chase or earnโ€”itโ€™s something we are called to recognize within ourselves. As Ernest Holmes reminds us: โ€œThere is that within every individual which partakes of the nature of the Universal Wholenessโ€ฆ Our soul will never change or violate its own nature; all the denying of it will never change it; all the affirming of it will never make it more than it isโ€ฆโ€ The Science of Mind
Book Recommendation: Prentis Hemphill, What It Takes to Heal: How Transforming Ourselves Can Change the World

Weโ€™re going to enjoy the lovely summer weather by moving this Sundayโ€™s service outdoors! Weโ€™ll be on the grassy area on the opposite side of the parking lot. You can either just walk around the front of the building or through the main doors and out through the sanctuary.

Bring a lawn chair (and one to share) or a blanket to lay out on, a hat and maybe sunscreen. The temp should be about 70-ish during the service. There wonโ€™t be slides, but there will an online broadcast. (Our sound, music, and video team are going above and beyond to make all this possible!) Happy summer!!

To embody the idea that all humanity is divinity and that we are one global family, we have to recognize the wholeness inherent in all people. When we leave anyone out of this equation, when we deny someoneโ€™s wholeness, we deny God. What would it mean to really believe we are all one global family and that we are each unique and divine?
