Curriculum Overview:
In our 5th Sunday service, youth will walk as their ultimate selves—bold, courageous, and connected to Spirit—offering a radiant example of divine creativity in motion. Through storytelling, affirmation, and celebration, they’ll remind us all that Spirit lives loudest through our most authentic expression.
June Monthly Theme: Celebrating Our Oneness: Honoring Unity, Diversity, and Loving Expression
Week 5 Value: Designing & Daring Our Dream Selves
Affirmation: I am a radiant expression of Spirit—bold, resilient, and unapologetically me!
Spiritual Lesson:
This week, youth will explore the power of resilience and self-expression as sacred acts of living “out and loud.” Through creative design, spiritual reflection, and joyful celebration, they’ll prepare to embody and share their bravest, most vibrant dream selves.
Mindfulness: Design Your Dream Self
Youth create visual representations of their most courageous, vibrant selves using art supplies and creative materials. This activity invites them to imagine who they would be when fully aligned with Spirit—free, fearless, and filled with divine light.
Creative Expression: Youth Dream Walk (5th Sunday Sharing)
Youth walk a simple runway as their “dream selves,” introducing their chosen name and a statement of purpose or power. This bold act of embodiment allows them to practice spiritual self-expression and inspire others to live more fully as their true selves.
Lessons in Action: Youth-Led Interviews with Adults
Selected youth interview adult community members about bravery, authenticity, and living out loud. These intergenerational conversations model vulnerability, build connections, and offer insights into how we all grow through self-expression.
Connecting: Group Mini Ball & Call-and-Response
To close the sharing, youth and adults move together in celebration—dancing, strutting, or simply being seen in their full expression. With a final group affirmation, the community anchors the message that showing up authentically is both a spiritual and revolutionary act.
