Sunday Talk: Building an Open and Collaborative Environment, 8-30-26

This month we explore the significance of fear and fury (anger) in our spiritual development.  It is perfectly normal to feel intense emotions at times. We like it when we experience intense joy or pleasure. But we can get scared of feeling fear and anger. When we can see these as energies that are moving through us, we can ride them toward places we want to go, rather than letting them run over us.
Book Recommendation: Brené Brown, “Dare to Lead: Brave Work. Tough Conversations. Whole Hearts.”

What does it mean to stay open in a time of intensity? How can we stay open to others while navigating fear and conflict? This week, we explore how cultivating collaboration and vulnerability can lead to greater strength and connection. Our youth will help us with our learning.

Brent and LaVon give us brave music this Sunday.

REV. Buffie Finkel, will lead the pre-service meditation.
