Parents: We now have a Sound Bath for kids and parents every third Thursday, beginning May 21st, from 6-7 pm here at the center, created by Hillary Myers. Kids and caregivers can explore sound, connection, and relaxation together in a welcoming environment. Through gentle sound, curiosity, and simple nervous system reset practices, children and adults will discover how play, rest, and regulation can naturally flow together. Go to our website and search for “Family Sound Bath” to register.

May Theme: Foundations of Spirit: Discovering the Divine Within
Week 3 Value: The Creative Process
Affirmation: I plant seeds of intention and watch them grow.

Curriculum Overview:

In Week 3, youth and teens explore the spiritual principle of the Creative Process—the understanding that creation begins within before it appears outwardly.

Building on previous lessons about Oneness and Spiritual Law, youth discover that their thoughts, intentions, beliefs, and attention help shape their experiences. Using the metaphor of planting and growing, they learn that just like seeds need nurturing, the ideas, goals, and dreams they hold also require care, patience, trust, and positive expectation.

Spiritual Lesson:

What we nurture with intention, belief, and attention begins to grow.

Youth explore the idea that creation is a process—not something instant. Just like a garden grows over time, the things we want to experience in life require patience, care, and trust.

Youth also reflect on how fear, doubt, or negative self-talk can interfere with growth, while encouragement, gratitude, and positive expectation help strengthen what they are creating.

Spiritual Practice: Seed Planting & Intention Growth Reflection

Youth participate in a seed-planting experience where they physically plant seeds while identifying an intention they would like to grow in their lives, such as confidence, friendship, peace, creativity, courage, or joy.

As they plant their seeds, they reflect on what helps something grow and what might prevent growth, and ask questions such as “What seed of intention do I want to grow? and How can I nurture what I want to create?”

Creative Expression: Intention Garden

Youth create a personal or group “Intention Garden.”

Each participant designs a paper flower, seed packet, or plant shape representing something they want to grow in their lives. On the inside or roots, they write a goal or intention, supportive beliefs, or actions that help nurture growth. They will take turns slingshotting the wildflowers in the center grounds.

Connecting: Oneness Circle

Youth complete the sentence: “My seed of intention is…”

Group Response: “And I will help it grow.”
