WELCOME TO CENTER FOR SPIRITUAL LIVING – OLYMPIA
This is a community that is about love – loving that Infinite Oneness/Spirit – and loving each other and the world community. As our vision says, this is a community dedicated to living as Love (that’s the Big Love – Spirit as Love) in a world of Love. At times, it’s difficult to see this, at times we miss the mark, but we know that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world, as Margaret Mead observed.
We teach what are known as New Thought principles – ideas that empower us to create lives we love and support others in doing the same. We are based on the teachings of Ernest Holmes, a mystic and visionary who sought the core similarities in all the world’s religions and spiritual traditions. Strip away all the dogma (rules) and there are a few core truths that are timeless and across all boundaries. He called this the Science of Mind. I call it the path to freedom of living an authentic, joyful life.
I’m glad you have found your way to this website and encourage you to explore more of our page and eventually to come and meet the people of Center for Spiritual Living – Olympia. Since I arrived here in 2017, I have found this community to be an uncommonly loving and accepting community. I know you will also find this to be true, no matter who you are.
Welcome home,

From an Out-of-State Member
I discovered Centers for Spiritual Living through friends! Since I was new to New Thought teachings, I was happy to find an open-minded church that was not full of rules and dogma.
Despite many changes in the local Centers near where I lived, I continued to attend various CSLs around the area when and where I could. Finally, I was able to follow Rev. David Robinson online at CSL Olympia when he became the minister there. Although I did not attend physically, I followed the Center by being a part of the Practitioner group and later joined services via Zoom during the pandemic.
I continue to be involved in CSLO because I love the open-minded teaching and friendly people there. Many have only met me once or twice but treat me as one of their own. I feel like the folks at CSLO are my family – even though they live 300 miles away!

From the Youth Director
As the Youth Director at our spiritual center, I am deeply committed to nurturing the next generation with the principles of Science of Mind. Witnessing the profound impact these teachings have had on my own children, who are now thriving adults grounded in self-love and empowerment, has inspired me to extend this gift to more young people. Our youth programs are designed to cultivate inner strength, positive thinking, and a sense of purpose, ensuring that each child grows up with the tools to lead a fulfilling and empowered life.
Even after 15 years with this spiritual community, I continue to grow personally every year, discovering the beauty within and delving deeper to heal what prevents greatness. It is this ongoing journey of self-discovery and healing that fuels my passion to guide our youth. We teach them that they are perfect just the way they are, helping them to embrace their true selves with confidence and love. I am passionate about creating a supportive and inspiring environment where every young person can discover their true potential and embrace a life of self-love and confidence.

“Adrian, some things are just so great that the human eye can’t see. This church is one of those things.
It brings us together, the young and the old. Making one great big family – everyone.
At church you can trust and Love.
Church is the home of God and Spiritual Living.
I hope everyone at church loves it as much as I do!
Thank you – Lala h. Nash”

I wasn’t familiar with the New Thought movement until I attended CSL Olympia. However, my personal beliefs and practices that I have held for many years aligned with the teachings. I found a community of people at CSLO that have similar beliefs. I have a desire to make the world better in whatever way I can. At CSL, I have found ways to improve myself and to be more impactful in the ways I work to change the world to a better place for all. I personally have experienced a greater calm, intentionality and abundance with my spiritual practice.

I come to Center for Spiritual Living for several reasons. The first of which is coming together with like-minded spiritual seekers. The community radiates love and acceptance. I come in the door to open arms filled with welcoming love. The music is always uplifting, as is the message. Although I’ve been on this path my whole adult life, I continue to seek support from community who remind me of the spiritual principles I know exist. The biggest is LOVE and Oneness of all Creation.

I have been on a spiritual path for much of my life, yet didn’t find CSLO until about 7 years ago. I’d been “church shopping” for several years with a knowing deep inside that there was something much greater than me. It wasn’t until entering the doors of CSLO where I felt a belonging and knowing that I had “found my people”.
CSLO has brought a community of like minded individuals and a deeper sense of who I am into my life. I discovered a love for All., A love for people of many diverse personalities that I may have previously moved away from. We are all One. Judgement brings separation. This was previously in all areas of my life. Being human is a crazy, and often uncomfortable, place to sit in. All emotions come into this human that I am. Stopping, recognizing, and remembering that I am just a part of the ONE has brought peace and joy more prevalent into my life. I used to say that of anything, I wanted more joy in my life. Today, joy is present in all aspects of my life. The good and the not so good! Always learning and growing…….

A few years ago I moved out of state., but I never lost contact with Olympia CSL because I was connected via the internet. One day, I was contacted to fill a position on the Council as “member at large”. This was really at large!
I returned to the Olympia area and on the day I arrived, my CSL family was there to welcome me back, help me unload my Uhaul, and settle back into life in the PNW.
